Greetings all! I'm a novice and need help on a point and shoot, preferably not over $250. Canon, Nikon, Panasonic? Macro is a must. Good zoom is preferable. Of course good images, quick focus, and number of fps. Help!

Welcome to the forum

I lean to Panasonic and Canon
But what you want will be hard to find at your price, at least in any kind of good quality.

Thanks for your input. I simply can't afford more right now. I have decided on a used Canon SX50 for now. Certainly not the best, but it's what my budget allows. Many of my photo's will be macro, and this camera is said to be fairly decent for that mode.

Hopefully next year, I can afford a DSLR

Ah, the SX50 is a great bridge camera, a lot on the hog use it, many prefer it to the SX60 that replaced it. My wife has one I got from Canon refurb.
You will love that camera. There are video tutorials and a Cheat Sheet available from Amazon.

This post is from a woman who loves it for birds, including birds in flight. You have to scroll down past the other stuff and sales pitches for her bird books.
