These chaps were stood in a row outside Salisbury Cathedral when I visited last September - and had been due to be auctioned-off for charity - but they received a call from Lady Bankes and are now gathered to defend Corfe Castle from some pillaging maniacs out of shot. Any historians amongst you may cringe at the four or five centuries mis-phasing, but try to ignore it please.
Utterly delightful! The clarity and bright colors elevate the already whimsical mood. Also love the muted background and sky. Terrific shot.
Love it, especially when viewed large.
Thanks Linda, the colours were the difficult aspect - the knights were all painted very brightly, so the background is designed to mute the whole a little, plus an average blur filter to try to bring it all together.

It has the look of a mural my friend. Very very nice indeed.
It's the manner in which they are painted I think Billy. Thanks for commenting.

Very playful shot nicely down. Sharpe and great color
Wonderful pic. The subdued lighting has converted what could otherwise have been a somewhat kitsch offering into something really engaging. Good stuff.

Totally brilliant, just LUV it,

Wierd! That slightly hunched-shoulder posture coupled with the thousand-yard stares is very reminiscent of the pieces in a famous old Norse chess set...Carved, I think, from walrus ivory.
Your image of these fellows against what I take to be an early dawn sky is very effective...make it appear that they've been up all night.

Exceptional Still Life photograph. The colours, from what I can tell have been enhanced to just the right point - whether natural or brought on by you. They are perfect and add, rather than detract, from the piece. Such vibrant colours usually become the end rather than the means - not so in this case.
Your spatial arrangement is simple yet contains a feeling of unreserved strength. That the figures are crowded together gives this feeling of the one body in unison ready for any eventuality. Still, there seems to be a sense of wonderment on many of the faces. This may be due to your lighting and the level of the exposure.
There seems to be a structure of some sort in the far horizon that might be taken as a castle or something similar. It adds to the feeling of this photograph.
This is a marvelous creation and one that any photographer would have been proud to make.
