To the Picasa users: you should know that Google has dropped support of Picasa. Google it…. ;-)

I have PS CC 2015.0.1 on my Mac.

ACR in it is 9.4.0.547

If loading a JPG, unless you are using ACR as a filter then it should not matter what version of ACR you have.

A JPG out of camera should be viewable in most any image viewer, of file browser like finder or explorer.

Are you able to view your jpg files in anything?

I can't load them from photos but they will load from icloud! Acts like the photos folder is not on the mac but comes from icloud! Photoshop doesn't recognize any of the pictures! Strange?

I have not spent much time looking at Photos, but could it be that because Photos store images within a special bundle they are not easily found by Photoshop/Lightroom...

IPhotos was the same way, it creates a "library" file that looks like a single file, but it is actually a bunch of folders and sub folders where it hides all sorts of stuff for your images.

You may end up needing to export a photo from photos first to a location you know about on your hard disk, then open it in Photoshop from the exported location.
