Does anyone knoow of any new Nikons coming out in the next couple of months. thanks KCJ
The D3200 was just announced. And a replacement for the D300 is expected pretty much anytime.

It seems like that upgrade of the D300 now (s) has been coming for so long I'm about to give up. I'm shooting the D200 and have skipped the 300 and am running out of air from holding my breath for the new upgrade. Oh well, the 200 is a great box and I'll keep going.
I thought the D7000 was a replacement for the D300??

I can't say for sure, but my best guess now is that a D400 is in the pipeline. Lot's of opinions out there so I'll wait a little longer.
D400 could be the replacement now. I was referring to Ken Rockwell's comments last year. Anyone have any comments on the D7000
Yep, You won't find a better body on the planet for this kind of money!!!!

The D7000 could be considered an upgrade of the D300, its so much better! At $1200 its going to be a VERY tough act to follow!
The D300 shares its sensor with the D90.
The D300 was officially declared discontinued in Japan at the same time as the D700 was discontinued. The D800 is the D700's replacement so the D400 (or whatever it ends up being called) really shouldn't be that far behind. The pre-orders of the D800 caught even Nikon by surprise and production has been going full blast ever since introduction. The D400, if it follows form, will likely have the 24MP crop sensor in the just announced D3200 and would be built in Thailand at Nikons crop sensor facility. There has been a lot of speculation about the D400 maybe bneing a downgraded D4 with the full frame sensor, but I personally don't think that will happen because what would that be that the D700 isn't already?
