Sigma 2X teleconverter and lens......

In the market for something that really reaches out there....and I already have a Sigma 2X DG teleconverter with a serial number that is under the 5000001

What I am curious about, is anyone using the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG lens(I'd probably go with the "Contempary" lens, as I am not much of a 'go out in the rain for anything kind of guy'). If so, are you using the teleconverter on the lens? I fully realize there is no autofocus available with the 2x in place...but I can live with that. I'm curious about the image quality.

If you happen to have images to share using the Sigma 2x DG and Sigma 150-600 DG....please. Share....

Your tele converter will work just fine on that lens, but of course you will have no autofocus with it. Manually focusing such a slow lens on a digital body with a TC attached will be very difficult because of the extremely low amount of light that will reach the viewfinder, even harder to do if you are using a crop sensor body.
Good luck.

I have a Nikon 150-600 Sport. I would never consider using a teleconverter because it would diminish the image quality of my great lens.
