Hoe do you know it's a young man - all we can see is two eyes and the bridge of someone's nose? Clever action photograph.

It looks too cold to even think about going out there. A good catch.

I do know it was a boy. It was actually a very nice winter day. The blizzard with the sub-zero temps didn't move in until the next day.

Interesting photo. As cold as it appears the boy is barehanded. I guess he is holding the fishing line to sense any tug on the line by a fish. Hope his efforts paid off.

And as cold as it must have been, he has a zero drink at hand.

When I spotted him he had his face in the hole looking for a fish. LOL .. lot's of people do that. I got down on my belly and focused and waited for him to look up. I don't know if he did catch a fish. I did get shots of one lady that caught a fish that put her in first place for a while. There are thousands of dollars in prizes.

Hi Sandra,

Love this young fellow waiting patiently on a fish bite. His eyes are more interested in you that his prospective catch. Seeing his bare hands remands me of the difference between young and old folks, like me. I would need at least three coats and really heavy insulated gloves.

His body behind the bucket is interesting. The bucket itself is also very interesting. I like that all the other folks in the back are deeply out of focus. Great job with a "caught" moment. I think I can take some solace in the fact that he seems at least a little uncomfortable - or is that just wishful thinking on my part? Seconding the Zero Drink.

Nice work!
Jim
