Sydney Opera House

Around the new year I get to spend a lot of time hanging around the Sydney opera house while my wife is rehearsing and performing in concerts. The opera house is about 45min drive from where we live (but not in peakhour).
Just a small sample of lots of images I have shot there. Pic #3 is during intermission during a concert.

Always fun to shoot any subject that is on a grand scale. What kind of "camera" does your wife, the musician, play? Stunning images. If forced to choose among them, I'd pick the second one.

You did a fine job. You are fortunate to live so near such a fine place to photograph. I had the privilege of visiting there back in October 2011 for a few hours.

Three terrific images! I had long ago resolved myself that it was actually against Aussie law to photograph the Opera House from any but one perspective...from the water and from a distance!

These are intimate and all from, to my eye, novel perspectives, of well conceived composition, and all grab the eye and stop the step!

As I'm sure is heard in the Opera House, when deserved: "Bravo! Bravo!"

Thanks Dave,
There is no problems using images for personal work at all, however if you use an image featuring the Sydney opera house as a major component for a commercial work then you will have a problem. You will need to contact the opera house people seeking permission.
Photography inside the concert or opera halls is not permitted and the ushers will enforce this. I don't even try when attending a concert or opera.

Beautiful work, Richard! I'm partial to B&W, which you served wonderfully, but your color image is fine as well. The dramatic perspectives present unique views of a building which is rarely, if ever, displayed other than as seen from across the water.
