I like it! The texture and detail is arresting. I wonder, if I had made it, might I try cropping away the right-pointing stuff on the right side for being distracting? I personally have no compunction about PP. I might try blurring the stuff on the right if I didn't want to crop or change the shape of the frame... Just a thought. :thumbup:

Chuck, it's a good thought. I left it there to break the monotony of the completely vertical aspect cropped the way you suggested. Thanks for the comments.

Frank, I was wondering if anyone else was going to catch that. Congratulations on spotting a natural occurring feature in the bark. Nope, it's not water or a reflection. I saw that while I was processing the image. I contemplated giving it a misleading title. However, in the end just posted what was there titled as it was.

I did not think it was water but could not think of what else it might be. Almost as if someone put bailing wire around the trunk for awhile and then removed it. Thanks for clarification Bob, good shot and the cabin also.
