Thank you so much for the link. I am in the early stages of formulating a proposal for retirement homes in my area. I adore the elderly, love capturing their unique beauty. I am hoping the retirement homes will allow me to do portraits of their residents, with family approval of course. This link has a lot of helpful advice, thanks again.

This looks like a very good source for many of the questions asked on UHH as well as the UHH FAQ section.

R'laine, I have been contemplating something like you mentioned here for a while. I love the look of the elderly too. Are you looking to do this as a volunteer or ??? If you don't mind me asking, is the proposal you mention a photo package or something other? I'd also like to photo companion animals with their owners so this is sort of the same idea.
Anything you would like to share would be appreciated.

Both of my grandparents are dead now, but sometimes they do offer opportunities that come spontaneously and it is our job to take it. I was sitting across from my grandparents with my camera in my hand ready to shoot a photo of them. They noticed that and they started to play and pose and this was the end result.
