This started out as a photograph I wasn't happy with. I'm not sure if the end result is any better but I find it interesting.

I can see some possibilities here, especially if wasn't cropped so close. What software or filter did you use?

I believe I used paint shop pro. What started out as minor adjustments turned into major modifications.
