Dull Dawn in Venice, Italy - Just for Fun

Let's keep the PP ball rolling here. I took a photo at dawn in Venice. This is a part of the city which most tourists don't see. It is a conglomeration of building styles from many centuries, not the snazziest part of town. IMO, that makes it interesting. The weather was pre-rain storm, flat gray cloud; the lighting strictly ugh. So what you see here is a new sky but the original buildings as shot. I was going to do more when I thought that this image was perfect for you guys to transform into whatever takes your fancy. Go as wild or as conventional as you like. Just have fun and test your skills!

It is kind of like where did I put my glasses, I don't remember what I did with the edit tools.

Here is my version. My PP was to make 5 exposures of the original. Each of the versions had the exposure increased 1.0. Then made an HDR image using Aurora HDR. Took back into Photoshop and added a Texas Sky. Added 5% black over buildings to tone down the HDR.

No matter, you did good, SoHillGuy. Storm threatening still and the buildings are visible.

Yep, Texas comes to Venice is your interpretation, Jim. Plenty of work went into this one.

That's funny, R.G. Here's why: when I was young my mother would say I was a natural walking disaster. Yep, disasters just kind of followed me around. I won't bore you with details just broken elbow, snapped off my front teeth, walked into the path of a big swing loaded with kids; broken jaw and big cut in throat. Hit by a car and lay unharmed, except for bruises, neat as you like between the front wheels with my head inches from the fender. Everybody who came running thought I must be dead. But heck no, the other kids dusted me off and we ran off laughing. I don't remember how the driver felt. Yep, just a natural disaster when I was young. Got more sense now, I hope. :D
