Daffodils huh. Flora and horticulture not your strong point Rob?
Problem I have with this is the water droplets look like they came from a spray bottle and not the sky. Why I query it is there are water drops under the flowers and not evenly dispersed like rain would be.

So they ARE gum trees then?

Who cares anyway but to the droplets....seems to be a bit of a bone of contention whether or not droplets on flowers are indeed "real."

It was shot a couple of years back at the annual Floriade Festival in the ACT and it was one of those typical, miserable Canberrian drizzly October days, the type that provide every creaky "get down to the subject" photographer with wet knees, followed by a wet baum when trying to get back up.

I love it. I wish I had made it. If I had made it I'd hope I presented it just this way. I don't mean to sound overly effusive, but I love flower shots, and this one is a standout.

Thank you Chuck but I'm sure you've done better. I enjoy trying to capture the beauty of flowers but they can be quite a challenge, especially shooting outdoors under natural light which I prefer and under the influence of the weather. Cheers, Rob.

I like the download, but not the extra size so much. Very sharp and nice rich colour.
At a guess I'd say they are Tulips.

I like the shot but would "print" it differently. First of all, I am debating about the framing. On one hand, having shot square for so many years and liking symmetry, I might have cropped the right side off. That would also remove that distracting lone flower. But I like the quirky off-center feel and might have had more background to the right and, perhaps, to the top. I would emphasize the three main flowers but lightening them a bit (more for the center one). The overall brightness is a little too dark for my taste. Finally, I would add a little negative vignette to get the flowers to pop more.

Thanks for posting.
