Question about back focusing.

Thanks TJPHXAZ. I think the D7000 is the same as the D7100. The D200 is quite different since it has 4 memory banks it also has a AE-on button in addition to the AE-L/AE-F button. The D7000 does not have the AE-on button. I do believe that BBF has to be set up for each individual shooting bank on both cameras. I am going to only set it up in one bank on the D200 and see if it is active in any of the other three banks. I'm pretty sure it won't be.

Some people will use one of those settings generically with BBF not set up so they can switch to that user setting and hand the camera to someone without having to explain BBF. I solve that issue by keeping the f4 setting in the My Menu (750) or Recent Settings (7100) feature of Menu where I can switch BBF on/off quickly.
For my shooting I always use BBF.
On the 750 and 7100 with f4 set to AF-ON (BBF) it is engaged in PSAM, Auto, Scene and Effects shooting modes.
