Wow, really looks like a painting. Very nice.
I would crop out the extra branches along the top, but beyond that, what a wonderful photo. It has the look and feel of an exquisite watercolor painting. Grew up in Bellingham, so I'm interested in anything shot in Washington. Truly a framable shot.
I have many nice shots made in the western Washington area. I live in Everett. Here is one from last summer taken at Grand Avenue Park in Everett. Thanks for the kind words. There must some great photo ops in Colorado where you are. I once worked on the construction of a coal fired power generating plant at Craig. We stayed in Steamboat Springs.
Ya, this is beautiful country as well. I live at the foot of the Rockies, so picture perfect views are everywhere. I took this just outside of Winter Park. The trees in the background that look red are dead or dying from an invasion of Japanese Bark Beetles. I plan to go back this year and take the same shot again and I should see LOTS of missing trees. They should all be cut down by now. They lost nearly half the pine lodge pole tree forest in the Vail valley. What a shame.
