Hi everyone. The name's Ed (my screen name is ergoedbo) and I recently joined the Hedgehog site. Looks like a great bunch of folks here, with many new & fresh ideas about photography. I've had tons of cameras during my life, and was a Naval Photographer during the Vietnam War. Now in my retirement years, I've discovered the wonder of digital photo manipulation on the PC, and have made it my main hobby among my other outdoors ones. I've reduced my 'stable' of many cameras down to one fantastic tool for what I like to do, my Nikon D5100 with its 18-200mm Nikkor Zoom lens. Here are a few samples of shots I've created..I love having folks do a double-take when they look at my work :)
I've posted a number of others I've done in the Photo Gallery here, under the title of "Morphing" Nature's Images. I'd very much appreciate any comments and/or critiques. Thanks!

You clearly possess a lively imagination, something to treasure and protect. I like your photos and your technical ability looks to be very high.
Have you studied other photographers who do images along a similar vein?
Thank you for sharing your images!
Thanks for your very kind remarks, Danilo. I never much 'studied' others who liked to manipulate images. I always was impressed whenever I'd see a photo that made me react with a "how'd they do that?" or "what the heck IS that?". So now, my camera & I look at everything around me in a very different light, challenging me to create something that maybe hasn't been seen before. I then just let my imagination & computer post-production do the rest!

Welcome to the "HOG". Great creativity. Not interesting to me, guess I am just an old toot who just doesn't understand this type of pictures. My problem not yours.

You're putting your active imagination to good use there. Normally I'm not a big post-processing fan, but your work is excellent! Love it!
