Taken during my trip to UK last year. Robin Hoods Bay is a very small coastal resort in North Yorkshire.

Robin Hood's Bay is a lovely quiet little town. The seats tell the whole story, spectacular views and plenty of time and space to sit and enjoy them. Very very nice gentle pic which brings back some wonderful memories of holidays in the area, not too far from where I used to live when I was a kid. By any chance did you go a few miles further North and get to Whitby Abbey. I have never been there with a camera and its is on my bucket list of places to photograph in wild stormy weather. Good stuff, I like it.

For me, everything in this photograph is masterfully crafted, including the frame. It would stand alone but the framing is the perfect choice for this lovely endearing piece. The quiet mood is prominent in setting the feeling and you selection of space is perfect. I couldn't think of a better way to photograph this scene.

Loverly, I think is term you Brits and ex-patriots use?

Excellent composition and capture of a beautiful scene only one hour away from where we live. We have sat on many seats along the pathway. I love the delicate colours and the frame for me is perfect! Certainly would hang on my wall, I know the exact place. :D

Very nice, Billy. Composition is great, and the photo has a peaceful feel to it.

Ye Gods, Billy...to achieve that painterly effect methinks ye heid yerself to a fine art museum and photographed a classic 19th Century landscape by Constable, with his characteristic slightly cool palette!
I've enjoyed considering it, and I'd not consider changing a brushstroke...err... ...pixel!

And your matting is well-chosen!

Dave

My photographic companion and I did indeed visit Whitby Abbey. It was packed with touristy types taking selfies with their phones and with the phone on a stick! A thoroughly grumpy Billy tramped around looking for shots.
I have one which may make an image and will work it later today.
Thank you for calling by Peter.

You are blessed to live close to such a beautiful area. Being acclimatized to tropical weather I did however find an English summer a tad chilly!
Thank you for your kind words.

Excellent photograph. Like the way the sunlight is coming through in streaks. This is definitely the quality of a picture I would expect to see on display and for sale in a local studio. I also like the way you are doing your frame work. I would like to know how you are doing it. Jim

Mr Jim-Pops tsk tsk Are you not paying avid attention to my tutorials?

That's a link to solid color frames tutorial and I will be adding one about including textures in your frames soon.
For now use the eyedropper tool to pick up a color from your photo and select foreground color instead of black or white which will give you suitable color without texture unless you can work it out for yourself.

Pleased you like the shot and the frame my friend and thank you for calling by.

I do mine as your instructions but now you add texture. I know how I could but I was hoping there was a quicker way than my process.

I like this. The composition and the lack of sunlight make it for me. I could easily see this brushed over with a painting effect and printed on a 'canvas' as a wallhanger.

You will probably not be surprised to learn that this is my favorite image of yours, Billy. This looks like a 19th century oil painting that we ought to be studying in the Masters Series. The composition, the level of detail, the color palette, the gentle but purposeful treatment, the "matte" and frame, are all congruent. It conveys a sense of peace and belonging.

This is one I'd hang on the wall.
