I saw this bird flitting quickly from branch to branch the other day. I had the Canon 100-400L mounted on the 7D and got a couple of shots with that combination, resting the lens on a fence post. These shots aren't as sharp as I'd like, but maybe someone can ID the bird from them.
That is pretty great Vicki.
Yellow-rumped warbler I do believe.

I believe what you have is an Audubon's Warbler because of the yellow on the throat and the crown of the head.
I think Mike identified this cutie! Nice shooting.

Thanks so much for taking a look and commenting Mike. The ID is appreciated, too.

Very fine shots though!!
Thanks for the visit and thoughtful reply Bob. There was a lot of wind trying to blow the camera out of my hands and the bird out of the tree. I was lucky to get anything. Hopefully there will be another opportunity to get more shots of this bird on a better day.

The AW in my bird book looked the most like this bird, but I wasn't sure. There are more Warblers than I realized. Eliminating some by regional habitats helps to some degree.
Thanks for taking time to glance at these and for your thoughts on ID.
