I own the EOS 50D. I am not aware that it records video. How do you do that with the 50D? I am assuming that you have added the Magic Lantern hack to the camera.

The Magic Lantern is not a "hack", it is an upgrade, and it was clearly stated in the description.

Sorry to offend you. Magic Lantern is described as a "hack" by many searches. Magic Lantern also states that they will not be responsible for damage to the camera when installed. It is priced well and you will sell it. :)

:) No problem, Some consider the word hack as a negative thing, using Magic Lantern on this and my other cameras has in most cases been a blessing, allowing me to expand on the cameras functions that at the time had not been available but needed.
Magic Lantern shouldn't be considered an addon but more of a door that gets opened to the programming that Canon had already put into the camera.
The reason for the disclaimer that Magic Lantern discloses is simply there for legal purposes, if you read the disclaimer of a Sigma lens or a Yongnuo speedlite, they in so many words say the same thing. Of all the years I have used ML I have never heard of anyone damaging there camera using ML.
Magic Lantern can easily be removed with no after effects simply by replacing the memory card with one that does not contain the firmware on the card, or by reformatting the card with the uninstall "ML" option checked in the Canon menu.

Since it does Trap Shooting, is it 12 gauge?

It actually can if you add Magic Lantern. I believe it runs off of the SD card instead of the internal firmware. I don't have it on my 50D. If I want video I use my SX 50.

The software is not on the (CF) memory card, The video features are already built into the camera, Magic Lantern just opens the tech menu so you have access to it and many more features already built into the camera. Why they didn't add the extra features to the camera when it was offered for sale is only speculation but it is believed because many Canon parts are manufactured by other companies, that by the time of camera assembly that it was not costly to make changes to the body or hardware.
