First-rate work, Jim. There's a lot going on here, I think. I like the composition of the parents seemingly bookending the children, and it's interesting that the dad is carrying the tote bag and appears concerned about the little one while the mother seems completely disinterested. That there are no distinguishing faces draws the viewer to the scene in general rather than to individuals. And, the strong grain gives gives an impression of the photographer being an interloper.

This is really nice. I like the shadows on the wall and the figures in a more or less random pattern. Then you used the noise and grain to soften the image. Works beautifully. Black and White perfect for this shot.

Like the composition, like the tonal range, like the grain - what's not to like about this one? Think you've taken us to that museum in another post some time Jim? Lovely!

I like this a whole lot. The tonality, silhouette, and the grain are all wonderfully effective as a traditional street image.

The composition of lines and intersections works well, very much reminiscent of some by Cartier-Brasson (who, IMO, routinely had the best compositions of any of the Traditional Street masters).

This would have been be a prime candidate for the new Architecture/ Traditional Street Photography section.

Is that in the Joslyn?

really good job!

Dave
