With my background in graphics, digital photography has given me some great new 'paint' for my imagination's pallette. Using Corel PhotoPaint & Adobe LightRoom software, I've been often able to create 'something out of nothing', or take already great digital captures and make them even better. Many shots I've taken needed little or no enhancing, and many others turned out much better with a little digital TLC. I hope you enjoy some of these samples of things I've tried to do so far with my Nikon D5100!
Bark Nymph
Aerial Ice
Sinister Shrooms
Evening Road
Erie Beach Radience
Flower Clown
Fly Eye
Woodland Stream
Sunnyside Farms
Squid Log
The Hidden
These definitely show your graphics background. A little weird for me but they do take me back to my hippy days [ I seem to remember that tree from some of 'dreams'.] As long as you are having fun, go for it!
You're pretty good at this.
I like them all, but I really like the last one.
Thank for everyone's very kind comments! Glad to hear that some of my creations evoked some long lost memories!
Relatively inexpensive Adobe Lightroom software has allowed me to also convert some very badly lit shots into pleasing ones, as you can see below.
Old North Church Edited
Clarion Sunset Edited
Very Creative!! I like the shrooms and "The Hidden", also both of the post processing "clean-ups". Nicely done.

Really enjoyed these. "Sinister 'Shrooms" was a hoot, and one time when vignetting worked very well. "Old North Church" ended up looking like it was afloat on a sea of green. It's clear you've got a wide range of talent, photographically, artistically and imaginatively.
Very nice and original. I like Sinister Shrooms and the Hidden the best. I would hate to be the hiker walking past that log if whatever is hidden in there attacks.
