.... and other scenes from one of my favorite parks. Most of the snow has melted and our waterfalls generally don't freeze in the wintertime. I just needed a break and had to get out with my camera yesterday. Here is some of what I saw. Please enjoy.

Nice. This time of year, most of the small falls around here are frozen, but not when it's 50°. This has been a very pleasant winter.

These are a breath of fresh air. It is so invigorating to be along with the sights and sounds of nature.

The first image popped up, I thought you forgot the falls. You obviously did not. If it was just a little warmer I'd want to stick my feet in the water. :)

Very nice Andrea!

Thank you Jerry for taking a look. The ranger said that earlier in the week there were some icicles on the falls but these will never fully freeze. The beauty of living far enough south.

Thank you Carol for stopping by. The day was a much needed breath of fresh air. We have been cooped up with snow since before last weekend and I needed to get out. There were not a lot of people around the park and no one else at the waterfalls which made for an enjoyable time.

Thank you Bill for stopping by. I wasn't about to forget the falls pictures. This park is a very popular place in the summer making it difficult to get shots of the lake at all and the Lower Cascades waterfall is one that people swim in all summer long making it equally as hard to shoot. I figured winter time would be a great time to capture it.

Great shots! To my taste you captured the movement of the water perfectly.
