Old dances never die, they just fade away... Love the shot. Disco will rise again! The ball's put away until Travolta once again has Saturday Night Fever.

I like the treatment here, Linda. A nice HDR-like rendition, reminiscent of Travesty and Snap Shot's best stuff. Good job!

Damn, woman; that's good!
My only thought, were a second go possible, would be to give the ball a bit mor room on the right. I doubt that whatever junk drawer stuff is adjacent to it would be any distraction.

Great image, though, as is!

Where ARE those bell bottoms, that turtle neck, and that silver chain?

Thank you, Dave! I can't believe I only took one shot of it, was having a brain cramp, I guess. I'll see if they'll let me back in :)

Thanks so much for your time. I think I was trying to avoid a lot of other junk (that place was packed solid); regardless, should have "worked the scene!" Next time :)

I can see it rising to its proper place like the broken chandelier in Phantom of the Opera. :-D What a discovery, Linda. There is no mistaking that there's a story here. Fantastic title, shot and editing.

Personally, I'm not to keen on the HDR like effect. I think there's enough detail in the wood without going overboard. Nice composition though, perhaps a landscape orientation would show us more of what's in the cardboard box.

Disco? I thought it was a model of that dastardly Deathstar! May they both rest in pieces.

Sure, I would like to see some more room on both sides. You did a nice job of showing the disuse of this item. I don't think it is over the top. I've seen HDR like images that just make me cringe. This is not the case here. Maybe the best aspect of this photo is that it makes the viewer go back in time and reminisce about where and when so many years ago. A very good image.

Thank you very much for your feedback, John. I had a brain cramp and only took one view. Must return!

Nice HDR type rendition on this one Linda; don't give up hope on disco --history often repeats itself.
