rare sighting of lions in snow(Bronx Zoo)
lion in snow 1
lion in sno 2
lion in snow 3
Great set, especially the last shot!!
I haven't been to the Bronx Zoo in years, but always enjoyed my visits!
:-D
In photo 1 it looks like he is eyeing you. The last picture is majestic!
They do a great job at that zoo. When I took the tiger pictures I posted a while back the zoo was almost empty. One of the vets was doing some testing on the big cats and gave us some insight how things are set up. From what she showed us, that big rock in #3 is probably fiberglass with a built in heater.
I hope you have more zoo pictures to post.

Love your shots of these lions.
I've never seen leopard spot patterns on a lion before.
And both of them have the spots.

Nice shots, and I was just about to make the same observation about the spots.

Good shots! The last one is exceptional. The Lion is without a doubt posing for you and showing it's 'good side' :) Good catch with good lighting.

These are young lions about two years old. They will loose the spots when they mature.

Beautiful shots, spphoto! I love the first one of them playing, but the last one just blows me away! What a good capture! He looks so majestic! Very well done!
