This is a zippered split baseball and this idea can be used with just about anything you can imagine. So start your creative mind to try your own split image composite. I have a couple of different composites using this idea I will post later on in a different thread. Thanks to all.
Dave

Youtube videos in two parts on how to split your own image. They are using an apple but you can pretty much use anything you feel would work. Just let your imagination flow !!!

Probably beyond my capabilities to create; but certainly not beyond my appreciation of the creativity and technical talent it took to come up with this image. Well done.

Erich, I use to think the same thing. "Oh I can't do that". I found that yes, you, I or most anyone can. It starts from within. However, I know where your coming from, for the fact I have been wanting to learn to play the guitar. I bought a guitar almost 4 years ago and can only now just play a few chords. My reaction is 'oh I can't do that'. Or 'its too hard'. I appreciate your comments and your very nice compliment. Having said that I suppose I better get to 'Strumming'

I like the "unzip" look, I watched the videos and seems pretty straight forward,
I am going thru a "grunge course" right now, so I really like the "bottle" one

Its an interesting effect that may suit particular subjects. Your first pic is quite effective in that there is a clear sense of the cheer leader stepping out of the split ball but I am not convinced by the composition. It seems unbalanced with the split being central and her stepping forward and to her left with her body also turned slightly to her left. I think you may have achieved a better balance by having the split placed around about the thirds intersection on the left so that she would end up stepping more into the centre of the pic. That way you would have more of a sense of her stepping towards us than to our right.

I hope this helps

Peter

Thank you Peter !!! I appreciate your comments/opinion. I agree to a degree, I feel it is up to the individual on where to split their chosen object. I chose to split in the center of the ball. Your description would also be a thoughtful process to split. To me, it makes no difference to which side she is stepping out as long as she is somewhat proportionate to the idea of the concept. Yes, not all subjects are suitable as this was a mere, somewhat tutorial idea for anyone that wanted to attempt to expand on their skills. I do appreciate your different approach. Something to think about in the future.
