My twelve year old grandson, head down and fingers flying, sitting in his great-grandmothers rocker. Processed, I hope, in a modern way. Let me know what you think of it if you have the time, it is appreciated.

Love the pp, including the vignette. The modern teen in grandma's rocker is priceless.

Many great details to enjoy: he's literally tethered to the device via headphones and to the electric source via the cord. The hat and afghan are eye candy and the shock of hair delightful. The body language, well, that truly says it all :)

Super shot!

I really like the processing you have done here. It has that Topaz look? Excellent image.

Thanks Linda, and you have hit every aspect that attracted me to the shot!

Yes Dave, several chunks of Topaz assistance here, plus Ps and Lr doing their bit. I still consider myself to be learning all of them. Do you suppose one ever stops learning pp? I guess you probably find your style and stop searching? I have since cropped a bit tighter and prefer it. Many thanks for commenting, much appreciated.

No, to me, learning different methods of post processing should never stop. There is so, so much information within photoshop that I don't think anyone could learn it all. There is always room for growth and to learn something new.

Yes, I found my style but I'm always wanting more !!! Yes, I like tight crops but for me lately I have backed off on it, but I'm sure I will return. I guess it just depends on the image.

Right on both counts I think - always learn, and crop to suit your mood. Attached is my alternative version - which you may lean toward?

Ok, now you have my attention !!! I am definitely going with the B&W. Very nice and well done. Another thing you may want to consider is to add a touch of sepia. Not to replace this one but to have both. I sometimes do that and use which ever one that strikes the mood. I use to go fairly heavy on the sepia, but I have backed off and just give it a touch anymore.

I tossed-up between a sepia version and the b&w - liked both but doubted sepia would go down well in FYC!
