1969 or 1970 there was a gas war in Michigan and we paid .19 9/10 a gallon.

On and off around here. I got it for 1.61 last week and then saw it W35 for 1.39. I was in old west Texas town of San Angelo were we live on goats and oil, now just goats.........

if you root around the internet you can find a map of gas taxes by state... they vary from ,roughly, 35 cents/gal to almost 70 cents... weight in gold map for a trip cross country, but stay out of the "corn" states, the gas is shitty there, and FLA GAS yields 15% worSE MILAGE THAN

When I was growing up I had a '47 Chevy sport coupe that I customized and put a 357 engine in. I took it to the gas station (full service) that I always used and winterized it. In return he filled the tank and then washed & waxed the car. That was a loooooong time ago. Gas was .25 cents unless they were have a gas war then it would go down to a nickel.

any day now we are going to hear the politicians bitch because of the loss of their revenue due to DECREASE in sales tax revenue from gasoline..[not gas tax, sales tax] they pissed away the funds they got from the increase, and never said a word.

I can remember when I worked at a standard oil station 1942 gas was five gallons for one buck cheaper brands were as low as 16 cents a gallon with a free dinner plate with a 10 gal. purchase
