I live in Pennsyltucky, a non-too flattering name given to the state by a Mr. D. Boone", just south of York. Prices here are $1.93 for regular. We have a TAX and SPEND Socialist/Democratic/Godless Governor who has still not signed a State Budget due to the lack of a Tax Increase! I don't suspect prices will drop much more.

was it any different when you had a Republican Governor .....

We're paying $1.67 for ethanol blend today and over $2.00 for plain old regular here in Iowa.

FWIW - we are $1.68.... I am waiting to fill up at .32 like I used to!!!!! :)

When I was pumping gasoline, for $2.00 you would drive away with ten gallons and we would clean your windshield and give you a free glass. That was over fifty years ago.

many thanks dirtpusher, it was that I didn't know how fuel was sold in the States, at $1.00 (something) for a GALLON, over here it would cost you nearly $7.00 for a gallon

So what's the price of gas (for cars) in your area and do you think it is good things or has it gone down too far,

I just paid $1.50 here in deep South Texas. I have a good friend that lost his job as an oil worker now he's out pounding the pavement.

I think it has gone down too far and it's going to keep going down.

Today gas is $1.54 here in Maryville, TN. 39.8 cents is federal and state tax (25.8% of the price). So the price before tax here is about $1.14 gal which does not leave much room for profit when split among the oil companies, distributors, and retailers. So high priced gas affects the economy and lower priced gas causes job losses which also affects the economy.

Hi, in your post you don't say whether that's for a litre or a gallon (4.5 litres) here in the Essex - UK it's generally about £0.99p per litre (£4.45 per gallon - $6.37 approx 28/1/16)

You are quoting an imperial gallon. US gallon is 3.785 liters.
