Yesterday at the Wetlands

It was a little cloudy yesterday afternoon, but the Viera Wetlands is always exciting. The usual suspects were there, plus a few I haven't seen in a while: Limpkins and hooded mergansers (did not get good photos of them, unfortunately).
Hiding in plain sight.
Wood stork
Ibis
Little Blue Heron
Roseatte Spoonbill
Fishing
Of course - gators!

I'm glad you pointed me to this post. I really like Spoonbill. The only time I ever saw them was on a visit to the Alligator Farm. Which brings us to the Alligator.

Great series. Thanks for sharing. Will need to put Viera wetland on my list when I go back to the Everglades.

Very nice captures of an assortment of birds in their natural settings! That gator looks you had his attention - not a good thing. Well done series!

Great birding pics. That 3rd heron, after the Roseatte Spoonbill, is a Tricolored Heron. You had a good birding day. Enjoy Florida and the good weather.
