I want a viewfinder
I hate the so-called `1 inch (but really 1/3 inch) sensor.

Neither Canon nor Nikon are in the game. They've left the serious MILC field to Sony.

No!.... not serious about mirrorless. No lens inventory to speak of.

Olympus and Nikon brought mirrorless to market ten years ago in 2006.

Canon and Nikon... much much later and no serious contendors. Point and Shoot level sensor.

No hurry and no commitment to the breed. There are now APSc and Full Frame mirrorless from other Mfrs.

Could go on... not worth it!

They left the serious mirrorless market to Olympus and Panasonic.

Well now... I use Leicas, Hasselblads, Bronicas thrown in with a few Russian cameras such as the Fed and Kiev 4 models. I am purchasing this minor leaguer accompanied with a fisheye lens for the sum sum of 50 umbackwas. I have not seen a mirrorless camera in action. The price is right if nothing else.

Bad news...the person has not kept on or has the body cover for the lens or fisheye. Not a great deal after all.

And you still won't. Poor excuse for mirrorless.... only technically fits the genre.

Mine were all BMW 5's, 6's and 7's. Not sure what a bimmer124 translates into, unless you are thinking motorcycle which would be a Beemer.

Please explain about the lack of lens caps.

The Nikon 1 series cameras are actually very good and highly underestimated little cameras by most people. The J1 is the oldest version, I would recommend you get the J5 instead. But what I do not get is why you are not looking for something more serious since you have a bulletproof Mercedes to protect it? 8-)

That is a good and logical question for which I have no answer.

I just brought home my new baby, the Panasonic GX8. For me it's an upgrade from the Panasonic GX7. It's a wonderful camera and feels nice in the hand. It is waterproof and will be great to have for birding. Read the specs on it and I think you will be very impressed.
