I remember reading a lot and seeing a lot of their pictures in the early 70s when I was in college and just getting a chance to use and learn all my photo gear I bought while in the Army. Kept seeing their stuff through the 80s etc. Then between life, teaching, kids and developing other interests (I have a lot of those.) I sort of lost track of them. I am not sure if I even knew of their deaths, or maybe just forgot about it.

Thanks for the link.

Galen was an inspiration for me, since I also had a background in both mountaineering and photography. He was superb at both.

I ran across his photo of the remote and little known double/triple falls in Glacier NP a few years ago. I've researched it and now know pretty much where it is, and am anxious to try for a sunrise shot of the falls on one of my next trips there.
