Vintage Lens: The Storm...........

The other day as I was taking a few pictures at the train yard, I noticed a fast moving storm heading my way. I was elated knowing that the storm would give me a great opportunity to take a few pictures under a wide range of lighting conditions as well as obtaining some good cloud effects.

I took these pictures with my Sony NEX-6 camera and a vintage Sigma 35-70mm F2.8 push/pull zoom lens.

Old, vintage lenses are fun to use, and they are capable of producing some nice pictures. Tejaswrangler :)

True! Old doesn't mean worthless. I offer myself as proof! :d

Did you see the Mythbusters clip of a tanker like that collapsing in on itself? Impressive, considering how strong those things are. Some examples below.

Very nice, sharp images, TR. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who appreciates "old" lenses. Some are more than good, they are superb! Especially the vintage Vivitars.

Twice I saw a tank 30 feet tall crumple & collapse at work because the vent was plugged & the atmospheric air pressure overcame the internal pressure as the contents were pumped out! Very dramatic & scary!

OP, Love your pics those dark clouds just get more ominus looking! Very nice. Oh, and I hope your name is not Dave!
