I found a Picture of JFK in a old filing cabinet in my garage that has his signature on it. Does anyone know where I can authenticate it? When I turn it over,You can see the pressure from the pen mark, but I don't know if its actually his handmark

It will be interesting to know if it is his original signature or autopen. Please let us know what you find out.

Hi Carolstar22 An autopen is a machine used to duplicate a signature. It is used by the Presidents staff to write his signature on documents that don't require his signature by his hand. Greeting cards etc.

From my "expert" experience watching Pawn Stars, look to see if there is any variation in the color of the ink throughout the signature. Is it heavier in some spots that others? If it's pretty even throughout, chances are that it's from an auto-pen. What kind of document is it on?

P.S. Not just color....but thickness of the writing. Does the thickness vary at all or is it even?
