I usually don't like abstract art but these were simply great!

It was Augustw Renoir who is reported to have remarked the he finally understood painting while on his death bed. There are elements of Paul Cezanne in your work. Many thanks for sharing.

Methinks you have considerable artistic talent. I love the energy in your painting.Obviously it's not to some people's liking, but some people don't like the Mona Lisa.

David, as an artist, I think your work is excellent. I use to paint portraits in
oil, haven't done in years, at my age my hands are not what they use to be.
Anyway your work is fantastic.

I don't know who told you can paint, but my grand kids were painting like this when they were six year old's.

That was unkind and uncalled for.

I don't know who told you that you were an art critic, but you have not the slightest clue. I have been making a living..and a good one..for over fifty years as a painter and teacher. My work is collected and admired the world over. Some of my stuff has sold for over $30k. So who the heck are YOU, based on looking at ten samples, to judge my work?

So much about "negative commentary" in this forum. You won't see more.

Goodbye.

By the way...Pablo Picasso once said that he had "...spent his whole life learning to paint like a child."

I have always had a difficulty with interpreting abstract art - that is seeing something real and translating the emotion. The only one that I understood was the crab apple at dawn with the splotch of yellow bring the sun - was it bright day ahead in spite of the drab leafless scene. That stands in for what real life condition. My problem with abstract art is a not very elastic imagination.

Okay. I'm a painter by either profession or dumb luck. And I'm told that some of the Gentlefolk in the "hog" might like to see a sampling of my stuff.
Well, remember..you asked for it.

I like! Not all of the pictures interest me; but, several do.

Only wish I was richer and could afford to buy. Sadly I have million dollar tastes and a soda-jerk budget. Pay no attention to the nattering nabobs of negativism. Some people react poorly to things they either don't or don't want to understand.

Do you have pictures of your work elsewhere?

Wow. You voluntarily put your art work out there, ask for opinions, then snivel and whine when people don't like it. What's worse is hiding behind your health issues to avoid critical confrontation. The art is mediocre at best but you have definite issues with criticism. Very sad and pathetic. Please go away.

I am not a fan of this type of Art...I don't understand the subjuct matter or meaning. However, I do enjoy the color combinations, especially 3, 4 & 10. My impression was of a contrast between dark subject matter and bright colors. But, I hreally ave no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to this.

I think you obviously have tallent as a painter. I hope it includes thick skin, too.

Markly, you who has posted absolutely nothing, are by any definition, a troll,
maybe it's you that should go away. It is one thing to critique someone's
work, quite another to insult him.

Oh, one last note....did someone nail your feet to the floor and force you to look at my work? If you don't like it...go ...no, I won't say it.

Just go enjoy your paintings of cute puppy dogs or whatever couch art you prefer.

You are an oversensitive nasty bastard who got what you asked for. Despite that I like some of your stuff.

Please don't be overly sensitive to stupid criticism. Your work is
very interesting and pleasurable. Keep up the creative juices and please show us more in the future.
