Just setup real quick with a hole in the clouds and shot-off a couple quick ones.
Both shot with Nikon D600 IR Modified at ISO 200, unguided and a slight overcast.
30-seconds exposure on Orion, and 3-minutes on Horsehead, which is heavily cropped.

Nice first shots. I like what your getting with the new 9.25 SCT. I think you said it was the SCT not the new Edge series.
Looking forward to seeing the processed shot.

Thank you Jim. I'll take some time and see if I can get some colors. The Moon was intense and caused a lot of noise.

I am going to wait until probably Thursday. Its supposed to be clear and the moon won't rise until 10Pm local. It will take it another 35 minutes to clear that big pile of dirt to the East so I will have a lot of time to play. I hope you stay clear and get to play. ;)

Thank you very much Ed. I think that Camera & Scope are going to be great, I hope.
It has Fastar but I can't afford $1000.00 for the adapter Lens right now.
Fastar allows you to pull the secondary out and reduce the focal length to 560mm and the f/stop to 2.3 on the Celestron 9.25 A XLT scope.

That would be perfect for most of what we image! You are going to be thrilled with your images! Cudos!
