Here are a few nature shots I did, any suggestions?
All are very good - in editing I would have cloned out the white stem that runs up to and out of the photo - in the second I would have cropped just a little more of the top portion - the upper flowers
The third photo is fine - IMHO

I like the 2nd and 3rd one best.
All very beautiful pictures but all just a little washed out?
Washed out? How so, and what would you recommend I do in the future?

Maybe shoot at a different time of day. These were probably taken in full daylight. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to shoot for good lighting.
I do agree about getting rid of the white stem going out of the frame and cropping off the extra set of flowers above in the second shot.

#1 appears a bit soft to my eyes
#3 really does not hold my interest but that is just my opinion.
#2, again IMHO, has promise. In PP I'd add a bit of contrast and saturation and crop out the top flowers. If you'd like, I can show what I mean regarding this photo.
That would be great. Please remember I am not a professional so these abbreviations you all use are very foreign to me. :-D
#2 stands out to me, but all of them are good.

IMHO = in my humble opinion
PP = post processing
Here's what I did very quickly in post processing (PP):
1. I first cropped
2. Added a slight bit of contrast
3. Added a slight bit of saturation
4. Slightly sharpened.
You and others may not agree that this is better but the post processing was done to my eye. It may or not be better than your original but I offer it as a suggestion as what can be done.

I have come to the conclusion that photography is all about personal preferences, what one person likes may not be what the other likes but that doesn't mean that either one is wrong. I love getting the feed back in here because I like to see what others think and take those ideas and apply it to future photos. Thank you all for the comments and suggestions.
