Nice shots. If you are wanting better luck at getting the Pileated's to come feed in your yard if you're willing to do homemade suet that will be your best of luck if you already know they are living close to you. Then once they visit a couple times and try the suet and know you have it they will keep coming 'cause they love it. If you are in any of the Facebook birding groups I have my homemade suet recipe posted under the files in those groups. What I would recommend for you first though if you think you would want to make is start to wash and save your store bought containers now and when there are sales on the store bought suet like around President's Day stock up and keep washing and saving the square containers. The plastic cracks on you over time. If you tell me you are I would also give you tips on how to save money on suet supplies. It's also posted in the FB Groups.
