terrific color relationships... the girls' subdued yellow, pink, blue against the gray/earth tone surroundings...and the effective matting and frame.
Nothing over-stated.
a cohesive whole!

Another classic Mr. Spad snap. Well spotted with unique composition that really works well with this image. Tones all growing together pleasantly. Your frame is appropriate but I’m not sure I’m sold on them in general yet. As for impact a dagger straight to the heart.

Billy, I always enjoy your post even though I don't always have time to comment. But I have to comment on this one as it is really nicely done. I know you don't believe photos can tell a story, and I don't disagree, but this one sure tells more about these young children's life and it captures my attention. Well done.

An eye-catching and powerful image. VERY well done. The colors of the children's clothing jump right out at us and pull the eye to the kids, who are perfectly positioned in this.

I don't know your feelings on editing, but if I could make a suggestion, the mortar patch on the doorjam to the right and above the kids is a distraction. I myself would get rid of it, or at least darken it up. If you're strictly into realism, then never mind. It's a beautiful shot as it stands.

Hya Treepusher I can assure you I thought long and hard about that patch of morter and it stayed simply because I thought this picture was definitely in the street genre and if I possibly can I avoid removing stuff with street unless it screams at you. Normal photo it would have gone I just believe one owes it to street to leave as is when possible.
Probably wrong my friend so indulge me please.
Thanks for taking the trouble to look and comment. Your views are always appreciated.
