I'm not the one to talk about Macro but I can offer that I love this very elegant shot! It just yells : "I'm alive!"

I think it's a great shot. I agree with sancu. I get the same feeling. However ... if you want to learn macro, I dare you to post the same shot on the marco forum hosted by nickon72. He is our macro expert. He is the one that can really help you. I thought I was shooting macro and he said "Nope, nice close ups thought." Told me what to do different with my particular camera. You have to post the EXIF and he will help you in a very nice way.
