Our local photo club has had a Photo show for the last few years as a fundraiser to help with club expenses. Due to circumstances beyond our control we will no longer be able to do that. What do other clubs do for fundraisers? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks...John

You can't have a show, or can't have it where you had it in the past.
A club I used to belong to has a show every year at a major vineyard. It is in conjunction with other events that attract folks with $$$.

We are looking at another venue that has an outdoor 1800's
theme but we would have to rent a tent and have the photos somewhat exposed to the elements, plus the cost of the tent at about $5-600 Not much profit left.
One club I belong to did fund raisers during the summer. Classes that interest the members and charge $10 for a 3 hour class limiting number of students to 10. The classes I taught were always full. The other club I belong to does not do fund raisers.

If you donate to a non profit some camera companies will donate logoed items, key chains, deck of cards, and your members do a auction.
I hate to say it, but it sounds like it will take a major effort to raise some money. I don't know how many members you have, how much you want to raise, or why you need the money, but asking each member to kick in a few dollars might be the simplest solution.

I am not in a club, but how about putting your photos in inexpensive (off-the-shelf) frames and selling them at reasonable prices at craft fairs, flea markets, etc. If you are near a tourist area, that is the best location.
Metal section frame kits are great; you can make any size, and if there's an IKEA, Michael's or A.C. Moore store near you, they have a lot of cheap standard size frames.
