Pileated Woodpecker, surprise...
I was originally stalking a Blue Jay when to my surprise I was photo bombed. Nice surprise...
I think that this is so cool that this happened for you. Now then, I wonder what would happen if you lessoned all of the yellow a bunch and played around with the whites and the highlights a little to make these photos really stand out? The reason I mention this is because the bird looks yellow also and they are such a neat bird and you have some cool foliage (and the blue jay) as the background. I know, I am being picky.
It was a fairly heavily overcast day and I was several hundred feet away from the birds when I got those shots. I used the Sigma 150-600 wide open so dof not that good. Maybe I'll try a little lightroom magic to brighten them up a bit... would have been really nice had the Jay been in focus. Oh well, shoot and learn.

Yeah, a little work in lightroom or the ACR in photoshop will do the trick. As for the blue jay being out of focus, I would not worry about it. It actually adds to the photo in this case.
Very nice, you lucky devil. :-) Thanks for sharing.
