Now this poor guy is locked up just for trying to defend his truck from someone who dared to touch it. Don't people know common vehicle courtesy?

A chopper shop in Wichita, KS had a bike with a large chain (chromed) welded up for the handlebars! I touched it and one of the employees jumped all over me for "touching" it! I never went back. Lucky I didn't sit on it.
The guy deserves life for killing the man. He'll probably be out in a few years.

I know a drummer who was so particular about his stuff that he sold the drum set the day after someone touched it. The band was on intermission at a dance function, someone wanted to make an announcement on the mic, so they picked up a drumstick and crashed a cymbal a few times to get the audience's attention. A bit over the top, in my view.

I recently took my car to an exotic car exhibit in Sarasota and placed a sign that said: "You are welcome to touch this car"; guess what? Nobody did! I have seen many daring and bad taste signs at many car shows which I believe makes matters worse while not saying much for the owners.

Right. The "medication" you buy on the street.

You're right about that. Some signs want to make me slink away from the owners.

Jerry, I can understand being upset about someone touching someone's car/truck. It's a common courtesy to NOT touch something that isn't yours. However, physically attacking someone is a bit over the top.
