Thought I'd mess around with lighting. What do you think?

I think you nailed it!!! Great shot!

That's pretty good...white flowers are hard to light...they just blend in too much; the leaves don't have a lot of separation.
I'd have liked to see a bit less light and my dynamic range..more shadows on the leaves or a bit more directional. At least to me, it looks a slight bit washed out.

I think it's lovely.Looks kinda like a slightly demented angel.

Yes I agree, I shot if at f/13 do you think that if I would have shot at maybe f/20 to give me more DOF that I would get more detail in the upper area of the flower. As you can see I am focused inside the flower. Or is my light just to bright.

Light is just a bit to bright...maybe use a defuser to soft'n it just a little. A Kleenex works for me sometimes.

Thank you, I will try that

Yes...it's a bit bright maybe but more importantly it needs to come "across" the flower to show some separation.
Move the light around and modify it until you get what you are looking for.
More DOF isn't necessary in my opinion...you could get away with 5/8-f/11 or so.
Beautiful flower and composition.
very nice focus and D o F.
The problem is the lighting I think.
As is, it looks one dimensional where we cannot see the depth of the flower. When light comes from the side(s) and/or the back, the flower will look more 3 D, which adds a lot of interest and drama.
