By Golly- Its none other than Grannie.
So grabbed my camera and opened the door to see if she wanted to talk.
And Talk we did- for a whole Minute. Do not ask me what we talked about, as i have not figured out her words as of yet.

what a pleasant surprise, and she even gave you time to grab the camera and shoot her...that's what I call a very deer friend!! you should publish a book of your dear friends and call it the deerest friends on earth.

Thank you Jim,
I think its Grannie whose taken great protective strides with her family. Before Grannie became matriarch, it was her mom that lead the herd. Shes the spitting image of what her mom looked like. Their personalities were the very same.

O what a great set and such beautiful animals. They must really love you a lot in their own way otherwise they wouldn't come around as much as they do. Of course they know which side their bread is buttered on....Rich

Love those photo's! When my wife was here every winter she had a group she'd feed apple's to in the carport. If they got here and she wasn't out, they stamped on the concrete until she came out. They were pet's!

Oh Rich..
Grannie is very loving and trusting of me.
Never thought i would see the day for that to happen. Back home in Wisconsin, you could not rattle the door knob and they would be gone. Can't blame them, tho.
The local cheese heads would shine them at night and take pot shots at them, and even during the day they were not safe from them.
So when i moved here- i expected basically the same..
"Run and Hide"
To my amazement i find it the opposite with my babies.

Well don't just stand there, let her in and offer her a cuppa! A little gossip, a laugh or two, share some photos of the grandkids, and plans to get together for lunch. ; )

Beautiful shots, Mare!

i opened the door and side stepped to let her in, she declined my offer.. Something about not having Chocolate donuts or something or another..
I think shes getting rather testy in her old age. I'd like to know whose calling the shots here!

Next thing i knew she turned her back to me, and Said" see you tomorrow, and make certain they are chocolate !"
what a gutsy ole broad!
Thanks for Looking and comical comment- Randy..
