BamaTexan Loc: Deep in the heart of Texas

I had finished my shoot for the day at the Waco Wetlands and was headed back to my vehicle when I came upon this beautiful little lady feeding. She was very cooperative as a model. Please download and double click.

The back of the bird is very sharp yet the flower is just a little soft, Love it.

WOW! Chuck this is one amazing shot. The color, composition, lighting and detail are all first rate. The best hummer shot I've seen on the Hog. An extremely fine job. How far is the Waco Wetlands from Round Rock? Would it be a good place to shoot dragonflies?

Thank you very much docshark. Round Rock is about 85 miles to Waco. The Wetlands is an excellent place for dragonflies. Check my flickr pages for dragonflies which were mostly shot at the Wetlands. PM me for more information.

Thanks angler, if I could get as good as you on birds I would be a happy camper.
