My name Kip Mason and I am interested in astrophotography. I have a LX200 8" and a Sony MPEG Movie HQX, Digital Still Camera, DSC-F717 camera. I use eyepiece projection to attach the camera to the telescope. The camera is OK for taking pictures of the moon and planets. For deep-sky objects, like the whirlpool galaxies (Mesener - 51) it's not the camera that use. I would like to move to a camera that would replace the older camera that I have now. Also to be used as a camera for photographic uses. Not a dedicated camera. I look forward to suggestions, or any feedback.
Thanks In Advance
Kip Mason
