Hi everyone.
I'm based out of Oxford in the UK and felt compelled to join the site.
Although I've been taking "snaps" for 40 years it's only in the last couple of years that I've really started to become focused on photography - a shame as my father was a pro for many years!
I've seen some fantastic photos here that show just how much I still have to learn, but I am keen to make up for lost time.
My primary interest is nature photography, born out of a need to take my four dogs for a walk on most days when I am working at home. Deer are my first love, but nature photography in general is becoming a passion.
I welcome all feedback, positive or negative, as every day is a learning day.

Welcome, Willie. You do seem to have a knack. Nice compositions. Keep 'em coming.
Welcome. This is a very addictive site but you will love it. You started with some very nice sites.
Many thanks all for the rapid and warm welcome - much appreciated.
Just to prove that my fascination is not entirely deer-related, here are some photos that were a bit more broad-ranging, mostly taken either within a couple of miles of the village where I live or up in Scotland, which I've been visiting for the last 20 years.

Many thanks.
That oxpecker on the cape buffalo's nose was a lucky shot when I was visiting the Kruger out in South Africa earlier this year. Out of 30 or so shots that was the only one that I was happy with.
Looking forward to enjoying the Site.
