Hi Chums, I have been viewing this forum for a few weeks now and finally decided to register. I joined the digital photography age in July 2015. I will now outline the cameras and lenses I use as they are pertinent to the problem I have with Facebook:
Canon 7D mark 11
Canon 70D
Canon 300mm f2.8 IS USM
Canon 100mm - 400 f4.5-5.6 IS mark 11 USM.
I use the above for wildlife photography, shoot RAW and process using the latest incarnation of Canon DPP 4. Until November 2015 I had absolutely no problems/issues with creating an album on Facebook from the JPEGs created from the above. That all came to a sudden end in November when the images would not upload and I was left with a blank square with the word 'oops' in the middle. Occasionally, one or two images would upload from a batch of say 12. There was never any logic as to which ones would upload. So far, no one has been able to offer an explanation. Any takers on this forum? Thank you in anticipation.
I'm not a FB expert, but I suspect that there is a size-limit to the photo files you can submit. You might be bumping into that limit. Check FB for more info and quidance. Good luck!

Thank you for you promt reply but it isn't that. I even deleted a few albums but it made no difference.
May not be the best solution, but why don't you delete your FB account and begin again. That would be like rebooting a computer - sometimes it's the easy fix.

Thank you for the suggestion. Do you know what the implications are though. Would I lose everything I currently have on Facebook - friends, for instance; or would I still maintain everything once I reboot (for want of a better term)?
Just another suggestion before you delete your account. How about deleting one of the albums that has the issue. Then, create another one. When I upload photos to FB I usually re-size them to 900 x 600 or similar. Try it with a few photos in an album and see if they post.

I wouldn't delete my entire account over not being able to upload some photos .... The idea on the size is worth considering. Uploading anything wider than 2048 on the long side is just a waste of time. You might find this page useful:

Thanks a lot. What I don't understand, however, is if it is the image size, why was I able to upload images up until November. I will check out the link you have kindly provided.

CHG CANON: Thanks again for your suggestion but I have just compared file sizes and the images in the albums I already have on Facebook exceed those I have attempted to put on since November. In one instance I unsucessfully attempted to upload three images which already formed part of one of my existing Facebook albums! As mentioned before, I even deleted a number of albums.

I used to see this behavior when uploading until I discovered that FB will do this when images are larger than 2048 px on a side. I suggest resizing to 2048 and see if that helps.

Thank you for that, but, alas, that does not appear to be the problem as I can no longer upload images that I have sucessfully uploaded previously.

Jerrin1 - none of us are FB technical support... And, FB is a moving target making changes on the fly on a regular basis. I'd stop looking to what has been uploaded in the past and see if their current posted standard has an impact on your current efforts. You can post a question to directly the Facebook support. But from my own experiences, you don't get a response and not even a canned response saying they received your request ....

I shoot Olympus, Panasonic, and Nikon and never have a problem loading pics to Facebook.
You can check image sizes (2048 or less), color space (sRGB), file size (are any that won't load smaller than the ones that do load?).
You can try a different camera, see if Facebook has developed a distaste for Canon?
