A frosty water droplet on a Bald Eagle's beak.

The temperature was about 23 or 24 degrees the day I took a photo of this Eagle who had dived for a fish a half-hour before and sat there until this frosty water droplet formed on the tip of it's beak.
560mm was used. About 125-150 feet in distance on a sunny day.

The shot is amazing for many reasons. You have to wonder if there's a danger of his beak freezing shut. I suppose he'd rub the ice off on a branch if it became a problem.

I appreciate your nice reply, Vicki. I agree with you that the Eagle would rub the ice off his beak with a tree branch. I have never witnessed this event before.
