Was up trying to get pictures of Eagles but there were more Vultures this day. They actually pulled off my windshield wipers and destroyed the weather stripping around my car door while I was wandering. All good, in love and war

Is that an eagle perched all the way in the top left corner of the image?
Actually, compared to the turkey vultures we see around where I live, these are pretty nice looking birds. You got some nice images.
A couple of weeks ago at Conowingo we noticed that these birds were attacking only two of about 50 cars. They were going after everything rubber. Both cars had sun roofs that were leaking, for sure, by the end of the day. A few of us tried to get them off the cars, but we failed miserably. One of the workers from the dam said that is the reason the employee parking is screened in.

Yes, that is an Eagle. This is a popular spot for taking Eagle pictures because there are so many around. When they land in the trees they stay, sometimes for hours, in the same place. Easy pickin's for pictures. I like to try for wing shots.

The Ranger tried, to no avail, to get them off my car. It makes for an interesting conversation with the insurance company. Which by the way will cover the damage. Unfortunately, it came in just below my deductible so......life goes on.

Those were the black vultures, here they will pick a young calfs eyes out and then kill it. Farmers shoot them here.

Yes, I agree. While in Alaska I saw a large yellow slug on the ground of the rain forest. It was ugly but I got a great picture. While in China I saw a millipede. It was ugly but I got a great picture.
Many people, especially in tour groups, are so busy looking up or around that they fail to see what's below them. There can be some great shots that most tourists won't get.

You're so right. It's all around us if we only look.
