This lens appears to be a mainstay in most of the UHH bags. What are the main or best uses for this glass?
Portraiture, sports, travel... Any time you need a short to medium tele.
On m43/MFT/Micro Four-Thirds, the 35 to 100mm f/2.8 serves a similar purpose.
Funny thing, the Pentax SMC DA *50-135 f:2.8 was made to mimic the 70-200mm of the old 35mm film cameras.
After using my 70-200 Sigma, I noticed that the majority of shots were in the range of an 80mm lens to about a 135mm.
(I know, I'm thinking too much.) LoL

Which is why you sport photographers with monopods.
doesn't work on my fly-bys and overhead shots.

I have a 70-200L f/2.8 lens & a 2x extender. It is a fabulous lens for all the reasons mentioned above. But it is a heavy lens so I use a monopod much of the time.
another man after my own heart, huhray for the 2x extender.
